BACK TO THE FIFTIES

Though the S/S ’15 runways seemed to be on a trip to the early 70’s hearts and flowers – I wouldn’t mind adding to my wardrobe any of the A-line suede skirts showcased at Gucci or the beyond-gorgeous dresses with hippie bedding that stole the spotlight at Pucci – today I’m gone focus on another fashion decade. Though they may not be currently having a major fashion moment, the 50’s, known as the decade of femininity and elegance, of full skirts and elbow length gloves, of swing jackets and cinched waists are back under my radar after spotting on Pinterest a series of pictures dating from the age. And what better time to get lost in the elegance exuded by vintage pictures and dreaming of having our own Grace Kelly moment than a moody Spring weekend?
