The first thing I search for in a summer outfit – especially when the temperatures reach unbearable maximums – is comfort. Yeah, a light, comfy look is my idea of summer perfection – and if it has a high level of chicness attached, even better. Of course, when it comes to on-duty dressing things tend to get a bit harder – after all, there are not many working places where you can pull off a silk mini dress or a pair of cotton bermudas without having everybody else staring at you in the best case scenario. Still, an on-duty appropriate outfit shouldn’t necessarily be composed of a tailored jacket and a midi skirt – this would be pure torture giving the current temperatures. Wanting to blend comfort and chicness without sacrificing the on-duty rigueur, I came up with three different outfits starring a summer-favorite: the shorts. These little wardrobe-stars not only provide a great level of comfort, they are totally chic and worn the right way they would make a fabulous on-duty option.
