As the nights draw longer and the wintry air swirls around the closed windows, nothing’s better than a cozy evening spend by the fire with a glass of mulled wine in one hand and a good book in the other, away from the threatening breath of the icy wind.Β To beat the winter chill and to get in the holiday spirit, I tried a delicious mulled wine recipe guaranteed to warm up my body and soul during the festive season. Enjoy!


1 bottle of your favourite wine

2 oranges

200 g caster sugar

2 cinnamon sticks

4 star anaise

1 vanilla pod


Pour the wine into a saucepan, throw in the spices and let simmer for 20 minutes. Add the sliced oranges and remove from the heat. Serve hot.
