NATURE’S WONDERS-UGANDA

NATURE’S WONDERS-UGANDA

“There aren’t many elements of surprise after three consecutive years of African safaris” – that’s what I kept repeating to myself while searching for a summer holiday destination. Still, there’s something about this mesmerizing continent that gets under my skin with the rapidity of a cheetah chasing its pray, making me day-dream of the epic freedom of the savannas, of the emblematic scent of the dusty roads, of the people’s eagerness to help each other, of the unrivalled savory of the traditional peri-peri chicken – enough reasons to crave for one more slice of this astonishing land.

During my recent trip to Africa, I had the chance to explore one of the most exhilarating places this continent of fabled beauty has to offer – the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, host of an exceptional biodiversity, even by the rainforest standards. Though the myriads of different butterflies and the 360 hundreds species of birds, not to mention primates and tree-climbing lions, are enough to impress any nature aficionado, the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is hosting almost half of the mountain gorilla population around the Globe – Uganda’s main tourist magnet. Knowing a thousand words worth less than a picture, I posted some of my best shots down-below.
