WELCOME TO LOGOLAND

I don’t necessarily enjoy the seasonal wardrobe cleaning – why? Not only once have I said “goodbye” to a piece of clothing left in the back of my closet for a few seasons, only to find out that it got back on trend a few months after it was forever gone from my wardrobe. The result – a lot of time spent spinning around the shelves of my closet, replacing the items that I already had in the first place with new ones, as a result of a few reckless decisions. Finally understanding that fashion is cyclical – each piece will get back on trend when you least expect it – I think twice before giving up on certain items.

As a proof that everything “out” eventually gets back “in”, the Spring 2016 runways featured a trend believed to be buried away by the current minimalist style standards: LOGOS. Everywhere from Loewe to Lanvin, from Fendi to Gucci and finally to Moschino, the Houses monograms dominated the collections, marking the trend’s glorious return. Still not sure whether to go with the flow, allowing a LOGO invasion in my Spring wardrobe, I gathered together a few of the best monogrammed pieces the new season has to offer.
