CHASING CIRCLES

CHASING CIRCLES

The new season is around the corner and the closer it gets, the more often I tend to loose myself in the fog of slideshows, videos and notes from the S/S 2015 shows I compulsively add to a folder of my desktop since September last year, just to make sure none of the major trends was or will be left out of my wardrobe when the right time comes. One of these days, while performing a routine revision of the above-mentioned folder, I came across a set of pictures from Marc by Marc Jacobs, Lela Rose and Dolce & Gabbana, having absolutely nothing in common. Nothing, but one thing: polka-dots. Reinterpreted by each of the aforementioned brands in a unique manner – oversized dots at Lela Rose, with a rave vibe at Marc by Marc Jacobs or mixed with other patterns at Dolce & Gabbana, dots are set to conquer our wardrobes with their optimistic appeal. Adding the fact they were already baptized by fashion stars like Keira Knightley and Kendall Jenner, I wonder who could resist polka-dots this spring? Not me, for sure.
