DID YOU TREAT YOURSELF WITH SOMETHING SPECIAL THIS EASTER?

Every holiday is a good time to remind the special persons in our lives how much they mean to us with a few special gifts, guaranteed to bring joy on their faces. Of course, things get even better when those persons return the gesture and treat us with symbolic presents, and when possible, with something we really wish for.

Being an only child I’ve been lucky enough to be spoiled with all kind of special gifts, whenever the situation called it – every holiday was filled with at least one big present I really wished for and a few smaller presents, just to keep the big one company. As the years passed, I learned to do the same thing for my close ones and I must confess – whoever said the joy of giving is greater than the one you feel receiving was completely right. Of course, I started to enjoy more and more buying a little something for myself on special occasions.

Taking advantage of one of my favorite holidays, this weekend I did some browsing, hoping to find a gift to treat myself with – confused, not sure of what I was searching for, I almost drowned in the ocean of clothing, shoes and accessories the online shops put at our disposal. Hours after starting this operation, I popped into a fabulous pair of Charlotte Olympia sandals – made in silk, in a neutral hue, with a sky-high platform, and reduced almost by half from their retail price, these little babes were in search of a new, welcoming house – and my door was largely opened for them… and two of their close friends… a second pair of Charlotte Olympia in animal print and a pair of Sergio Rossi Uptown in vibrant orange– that’s for not having Charlotte Olympia in my shoe collection till two days ago. The main reason for this crazy, unplanned splurge was the too-good-to-be-true price. The last two pairs were also reduced by almost half of the retail tag so I let myself go with the flow. It’s almost like the Easter bunny had something to do with these great finds.
