FASHION + EMOJIS = MUST OR PASS?
ARE FASHION EMOJIS A MUST FOR THE MODERN-DAY FASHIONISTA?
Since the late 90’s when they were first created, the modern hieroglyphics better known as “emojis” became the answer to the prayers of every self-proclaimed fashionista who wants to borrow your new Saint Laurent pumps (begging hands + angel), of every loving boyfriend when you ask him about your new haircut (curly lips + grin) and I can go on like this for hours.
Long story short: every single human who owns a talking device has surely experienced more than a few situations when an emoji felt more valuable than a bottle of cold water in Sahara.
But what if the complex needs of a fashion-related situation –the joy of finding that Givenchy you’re lusting for reduced by half, or when your favorite shoes get to be sold out before you raise enough cash to buy them- cannot be expressed with a simple, unstylish emoji? Then you have to rely on Harper’s Bazaar to save your day.
Released earlier this year in the honor of Fashion Weeks, the magazine features style-related symbols, like tiny Karl, animal-printed sunglasses and even pop art. Available under the form of free app, these emojis are designed to suit our fashion needs, before even knowing we have them.
I must confess the irresistible mixture between cuteness and chicness got me to download this app since day one and is currently feeding my growing addiction to emojis.
Let me know how you feel about the new fashion-related emojis. Have you downloaded them or you’ll pass?
