WHAT TO WEAR WHEN WORKING FROM HOME
Monday morning- still wearing my silk PJ trousers and a loose-fit cotton t-shirt, I take a seat in front of my computer and the “working-from-home” day can officially begin…Not before I go back to the kitchen to grab a box of cinnamon cookies for later, most definitely the gargantuan exposure of creativity I’m about to release is gone make my stomach crave for something sweet…On my way to the kitchen I stop in the living-room – only for five minutes, pls – for a quick check of what’s currently on TV…Do I still have time for a round of E news? It’s still early so, why not? Half of hour ain’t much to spare on a working day…I’l take it from my lunch break…Two hours later you’ll find me on the same couch, feeding all sorts of virtual pets on my IPad…I wonder if I should go to the gym now, or should I postpone it for after I finish my work?
Although working in pajamas might seem like a fun thing to do, the feeling of “too much” coziness can easily take your mind off anything related to work, having a great impact on professional performances (according to Kellogg School of Management from Northwestern University) – not saying that you should be wearing ten inch-heels and a tailored suit whenever you get ready for a new day in front of your desktop, but spending every day in frumpy sweats can seriously alter one’s self-image.
