Australia Fashion Week Street-Style

Except some designers I occasionally turn to – Alice McCall or Carla Zampatti – I must confess I never had the chance to take a deeper look at the Australians way of dressing. Because of the warmer temperatures they were gifted with, I imagined all they would wear every day is beach clothing – my fault. Now, after seeing Tommy Ton‘s shots during Australia Fashion Week, I feel completely ignorant, not knowing till a few days ago that the Down-Under style is just as original and cool as the Parisians – though in a totally different, uncalculated way.

These look like people who make their own trends, not following the others, who express themselves through fashion better than many of those who claim to have inherited good taste. Their outfits are making instinctive statements – the way they are wearing their designer bag, with a totally laid-back attitude, makes me crave for some of their natural way of approaching fashion.
