IT’S TIME TO SHOW SOME SKIN

Leaving the cold season behind and springing happily into the warmer season, all I can think of is the day when I’ll be able to store all my coats in the back of my closet and completely dedicate myself to silky dresses, shorts and other little wardrobe wonders the new-season brings along.

In order to look my best for the skin-revealing pieces I’m dying to wear, I decided to make a few spring-appropriate changes into my beauty rut.

The first one and the most important is EXFOLIATION: it abolishes dead skin cells, leaving the skin with a smooth spring glow. This process is super easy, the only things necessary being a good exfoliator (I use Fresh Brown Sugar Body Polish) and something to scrub. Also if you’re into something totally natural and are not as lazy as I am, you can try this recipe, I talked about in a previous post. It works just as well as the on-the-rack product but it requires a few minutes of preparation in advance.

The second part of my skin revival rut is trading my heavy, winter MOISTURIZER for something lighter, appropriate for spring: although skin might seem very dry in spring, it doesn’t need the same heavy protection as in winter because of the warmer temperatures. My favorite is AESOP, Rejuvenate Intensive Body Balm – it hydrates the skin without leaving a greasy feel behind.

The final part of my rut is increasing the SUNSCREEN use. The brighter the sun, the more sunscreen we need and an SPF-infused moisturizer or foundation is not enough protection. I opted for HAMPTON SUN SPF 30 lotion -infused with vitamins A and E, antioxidants and jojoba oil. I just love the way it smells and the fact that it provides a discreet glow after every use.

I am waiting for you to share your spring beauty secrets with me!
