WARDROBE CANDIES

Sunday morning – 10:00 AM. A few hours before my flight to Paris I should start packing my suitcase – it never takes more than thirty minutes, so there’s still plenty of time. With the speed of a lazy snail I turn on the TV – great, the News on E! – time for the who-wears-what at the Cannes Film Festival, there’s no way on Earth I would miss it. Half an hour later, I redirect my attention to the empty suitcase laying on the hard wood floor in the living room. I head towards the wardrobe and start picking up a few day dresses, a few embellished jackets for the evening and my fave range of day-to-night tees. I wonder where’s the nude top in Habotai silk – my go-to since the sun started showing its strength this season. Not to worry, it must have fallen down from its hanger…An hour later, the first signs of despair start to show – maybe I forgot it in Vienna two weeks ago and I haven’t noticed, maybe I misplaced it while preparing the closet for Spring, maybe it was stolen…STOP, who would steal a worn tee from my wardrobe? Less than 20 minutes before heading to the airport, I call the Vienna hotel I stayed in – there it is, waiting for someone to claim it. Problem solved… Still, I can’t stop thinking how great it would have been to have a twin-tee for this kind of situations. After all, you can never have too many of your fave items, right?
