LOUNGE DRESSING

LOUNGE DRESSING

What other people choose to wear behind the closed doors always fascinated me – not only once was I surprised after meeting a person outside their house (hair and make-up done, impeccable outfit) to see the same gal in their lounge clothing, surrounded by the comfort of their personal space( uncombed hair, slouchy pants and dirty tee).

They say that how we dress is a big part of our character-which makes me wonder what does this type of behavior say about one’s character.  The way we dress outside the house is just an illusion served to the ones that aren’t part of our personal circle? Is the way we choose to dress in our personal space the one that really speaks the truth about our character? In fact our homes are the places we can be ourselves.

With all this questions in my mind I made a short analyze of my lounge wardrobe. What I found left me totally unsatisfied: un-matching outfits, stuff that I once worn outside and were downgraded to loungewear, some pieces that don’t fit properly. So what does this say about me? That I’m kind of frumpy when no one’s around to see?

Completely determined to change my appearance, I invested in a pile of “nice” lounge-appropriate outfits that changed not only the way I look behind the closed doors but also the way I feel- so long frumpy, welcome chichi!

I am waiting for you to share with me what’s your lounge style. Do you pay attention to your in-house wardrobe?
